Hotel rooms are expensive in Cambridge, especially those near the MIT and Harvard campuses. Rooms in Boston are similarly priced, but there are moderately priced accommodations in both markets. Remember to ask about any and all discounts when inquiring about rates.

At MIT (Kendall Square):

The Cambridge Marriott is adjacent to the MIT Campus.

University Park Hotel at MIT is a 10-minute walk to Building E-51, and the hotel operates a shuttle to and from the MIT campus.

Harvard Square is two stops away from Kendall Square on the Red Line and contains several upscale hotels.


Moderately priced:

The Kendall Hotel has recently opened at 320 Main Street in Kendall Square, just two blocks from the conference venue. Prices are low for the area.

Best Western (Type “Cambridge” in city field, and select “Massachusetts” from state pull-down menu: first on list – see list for alternative Best Westerns) at 220 Alewife Brook Parkway, Cambridge.

The Days Hotel at 1234 Soldier’s Field Road, Boston. A pleasant walk along the Charles River to Harvard Square.

Days Inn at 1800 Soldier’s Field Road, Boston. A little further away from MIT than the Days Hotel.
